Mission:
A newly hired executive director from outside the organization had minimal leadership experience but was identified by the organization as a rising star. Coaching was designed to provide an opportunity for on-the-job leadership development, support and mentoring without interfering with the work of a new leader in a very busy organization.
Strategies:
- Assessment tools were initiated to help the executive better understand herself and her team members.
- Team development, time management, and communication strategies were addressed.
- Reporting the results of behavior changes helped with accountability.
- The executive was coached on using return-on-investment calculations and strategies for presenting ROI data to move desired programming initiatives.
